OPENING HOURS
Tavistock preschool is open during term time only Monday to Friday.
We require a minimum of three sessions
Morning session (without lunch) 8.45am – 11.45am
Morning session (with lunch) 8.45am – 12.45pm
Afternoon session (without lunch) 12.45pm – 3.15pm
Full day session 8.45am – 3.15pm
LUNCH TIME
Lunches
For those children attending lunchtime sessions, parents and carers must provide a healthy packed lunch from home.
SNACK BAR
We offer a range of fruit, vegetables and bread during our morning snack bar with an optional biscuit or cracker in the afternoon. Children have access to water at all times, and milk will be offered during lunch and snack. Children are regularly reminded to drink throughout the day.
Allergies and Dietary Requirements
We cater for a range of allergies and dietary requirements. Speak to the pre-school office for more information.
FUNDING & PAYMENT OPTIONS
Eligible children can apply for three types of free government funding:
15 hour 2 Year Old funding (from the term after your child’s second birthday)
15 hour 3 Year Old funding (from the term after your child’s third birthday)
Extended (30 hour) funding (from the term after your child’s third birthday)
All applications for Extended (30 hour) funding must be submitted and cleared before the 31st March, 31st August or 31st December to ensure funding for the following term.
We also accept Childcare Vouchers.

For those that are not entitled to free government funding, and/or go over their free hours our current rate is £6.25 per hour, increasing to £6.75 in September 2023 (subject to change).
Cooked school lunches are currently priced £3.20 per meal (subject to change).
All fees are invoiced monthly in advance via email. 14 days payment terms.
UNIFORM
Tavistock Pre-school stocks logo t-shirts, polo shirts, jumpers and hoodies for sale. Ask at the office or a member of staff for more details. Although uniform is not mandatory, we find the children do like to wear it.
We also have a selection of second-hand uniform which can be purchased for a small donation, please ask at the office.

We are inspected and regulated by Ofsted on the quality of our childcare provision against the requirements of the EYFS. Registered as a ‘Good’ provider with Ofsted, our current Ofsted report can be found here
